Prof. Lavaei Wins Google's Faculty Research Award

Prof. Javad Lavei has won Google's Faculty Research Award for his proposal "High-Performance Numerical Algorithm for Nonlinear Optimization over Power Networks." This award provides an unrestricted gift of $85,000. During the course of the award, Prof. Lavaei will collaborate with the energy group at Google to design optimization algorithms for future electrical power networks.
