Charles Batchelor Professor and Department Chair Keren Bergman was recently named as N²Women “2016 – 10 Women in Networking/Communications That You Should Know.” The annual list focuses on amazing women who have had a major impact in networking and/or communications. Bergman is being recognized for advancing the field of silicon photonic interconnection networks for advanced computing systems and high performance data centers.
Networking Networking Women (N2Women) is a discipline-specific community for researchers in the communications and networking research fields. N2Women is an ACM SIGMOBILE program that is supported by the IEEE Communications Society, Microsoft Research, HP Labs, Google, and IEEE Computer Society (CS) Technical Committee on Computer Communications (TCCC).
