Matthias Preindl Appointed General Chair for Newly Joint IEEE/AIAA IEEE Transportation Electrification Conference and Electric Aircraft Technologies Symposium (ITEC+EATS)

October 22, 2021

IEEE's premier transportation electrification conference IEEE Transportation Electrification Conference (ITEC) is joining forces with AIAA/IEEE Electric Aircraft Technologies Symposium (EATS) in 2022.

EE Professor Matthias Preindl is the newly appointed General Chair for the 2022 conference. The conference will take place in Anaheim, California from June 15-17, 2022

“Transportation electrification is a key thrust towards a secure, connected, and sustainable humanity. ITEC has emerged as the premier conference and exhibition serving the transportation electrification industry and fostering industry and academia interaction. We are excited to partner with AIAA and join forces with EATS to even better serve the community and leverage synergies on the path towards electrifying land, sea, air, and space transportation,” Matthias Preindl, ITEC+EATS 2022 General Chair said.

IEEE ITEC started over 10 years ago with sponsorship of the IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS), Industry Applications Society (IAS), Power and Energy Society (PES), and Transportation Electrification Community (TEC). ITEC established itself as the premier conference in transportation electrification with a global brand that focuses on the electrification of all types of vehicles and transportations systems. The partnership with AIAA/IEEE EATS will allow ITEC+EATS to even better serve the transportation electrification industry and academia. ITEC+EATS will offer a range of content, including keynote speeches, short courses and tutorials, panel sessions, technical paper presentations, and exhibition.
