We are delighted to share that Dr. Yuyang Wang, former Postdoctoral Research Scientist in the Lightwave Research Laboratory, advised by Charles Batchelor Professor of Electrical Engineering Keren Bergman, has accepted a faculty position as Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Connecticut.
Dr. Wang’s research focuses on the design of large-scale integrated photonic systems that transform future computing paradigms. By addressing communication bottlenecks in AI and machine-learning applications through embedded photonic I/O and heterogeneous integration, his work seeks to redefine chip-to-chip connectivity with unprecedented density and novel functionalities beyond mere data communication.
