Prof. Shepard, Prof. Wang, and Alumnus Dr. Guarin Elected to be IEEE Fellows

Hearty congratulations to Prof. Ken Shepard and Prof. Xiaodong Wang for being elected to the prestigious grade of IEEE Fellow. The distinctions are given in recognition of Prof. Shepard's contributions to computer-aided design of digital integrated circuits, and Prof. Wang's contributions to signal processing for wireless communications.

Congratulations also to EE alumnus Dr. Fernando Guarin for being elected IEEE Fellow for contributions to semiconductor materials and reliability. Dr. Guarin received his Ph.D. in 1995 with Prof. Wen Wang's group in the Electrical Engineering Department and is now with IBM Microelectronics.
