Prof. Ellis Wins a 3-year $450K Grant

September 05, 2007

Prof. Dan Ellis just won a 3-year $450K grant from NSF for his joint work with Douglas I. Repetto of Columbia's Music Department. The project, entitled “Data-Driven Music Audio Understanding”, was initiated with support of Columbia internal funding AQF. Such results attest to the impact and importance of cross-disciplinary collaboration within the Columbia community. Congratulations to Prof. Ellis! This is the 2nd NSF award that Prof. Ellis has won this summer, in addition to the recent one in the area of Media Forensics and Content Tampering Detection (joint work with Prof. Shih-Fu Chang).
