My research lies at the intersection of optical communications and nanophotonics. Optical communications, realized by fiber-optic technology, has enabled the high data rate networks that the internet relies on. Nanophotonics, the manipulation of light at microscopic scales, promises to bring a similar revolution to the microelectronics world.
