Conclusion

Our digital clock project involves designing and testing of a digital integrated circuit on a custom-designed PCB. The final product is working properly. This is the first time we worked on a fully-wrapped project and went through the entire IC design flow all the way from deciding system-level specifications to testing the final tape-out chip on a PCB.

In terms of power consumption rating, our IC chip is running on low voltage, and it consumes very small amount of power. The majority of the power consumption goes into the LED driver circuits, which is a hard limitation of the test platform.
