Alberto Lopez Toledo

I received my Engineer Degree in Computer Science (1st Class Honours) from the University of Murcia (UMU), Spain. In 1999 I began my Ph.D. in the Department of Communications and Information Engineering, in the group ANTS at the same university, and joined the ISABEL group at Department of Telematic Systems Engineering, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), as a visitor research assistant. There I was involved in several national and international R&D projects in the field of wireless and mobile networks. I received an Advanced Diploma in Computer Science (M. Phil) from UMU in July 2002.

In the summer of 2002 I moved to New York where I received a M. Sc. in Electrical Engineering (Wireless & Mobile Communications) from the Department of Electrical Engineering at Columbia University in the City of New York in May 2003. I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in the same University under the supervision of Prof. Xiaodong Wang .

I am a recipient of the "La Caixa" Foundation and the Rafael del Pino foundation Scholarhips.
