CONCLUSIONS
This project involved the design of a Class-D Audio Amplifier circuit involving the complete IC Design flow from concept to GDS to testing. The important features for the chip can be seen in the table below.
| Feature | Value |
|---|---|
| Switching frequency | 280KHz - 380 KHz |
| Input frequency | 20 Hz to 20 KHz |
| Operating voltage range | 1.2 V |
| Total Harmonic Distortion | -47.67 dB (@Fs = 369.9 KHz; Vin = 200mV) |
| Power Efficiency | 81.12% (@Fs = 369.9 KHz; Vin = 200mV) |
We are thankful to MOSIS for giving us an opportunity to tape-out, Columbia University for providing adequate resources and Professor Peter R. Kinget for teaching and guiding through the design-and-test of a custom integrated chip.
