The wedding will take place at the Hacienda San Antonio Cucul. It is a seventeenth century hacienda, and the only one within the city of Merida that is perfectly conserved. Here are some photographs:

Hacienda's are historical landmarks. They were similar to southern plantations, in that they had large, beautiful houses surrounded by land that was originally used to farm henequen, a plant used to make rope. Click here to read an article about the history of Hacienda's.
