Education

Ph.D., University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, 2013
M.A.Sc., University of Waterloo, 2008

Research Interests

My interests include Algorithms, Optimization, Stochastic Systems, and Machine Learning, with application to Communication Networks and Data Centers.

In today's world of IoT and AI, we are witnessing the expansion of wireless networks and data centers at a large scale. My research group is working on creating highly scalable and efficient algorithms that facilitate collection, communication, and processing of data in these networks in real time. Two instances of my research include: design of medium access algorithms for high-throughput low-delay data delivery in large wireless networks, and scheduling algorithms that efficiently utilize the data center resources to speed up machine learning applications.
