Ilija Hadzic

Ilija Hadzic received the BS degree from the University of Novi Sad, Serbia, in 1995, and the MS and PhD degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, in 1996 and 1999, respectively, all in electrical engineering. After receiving his PhD, he joined Bell Labs (Nokia, formerly Alcatel-Lucent, formerly Lucent Technologies) where he currently works as a distinguished member of technical staff. His current research and professional interests include communications and networks, distributed systems, embedded systems, system software, and most recently robotics. He has been an author of many technical papers in leading journals and conferences, inventor on numerous patents, as well as the lead implementer of many hardware and software systems that are now part of commercially available products. In recognition of his technical contributions, he was named a Bell Labs fellow in 2010.
