New due date for Homework #2

The due date for Homework #2 is moved to 9/29. Note that Homework #3 will also be due on the same date.

New TA office and phone number

The TAs office is now 910 CEPSR, and his phone number there is (212) 854-6900.

Problem 2.42 moved to Homework #4

Problem 2.42 requires material which we haven't yet covered, so it is moved to Homework #4.

Homework rescheduling

The homework due dates have been shifted by half a week, starting from Homework #4. This will ensure that the homework assignment are fully in sync with the lectures. Homeworks are now due - in general - on Mondays. There are few exceptions - see the Homeworks page for the new dates.

No class or office hours on October 18, 1999

Please note that there will be no class and no office hours on Monday, October 18, 1999, as I will be traveling. A make-up class will be scheduled later.

Schedule updates

Due to upcoming trips to conferences (IEEE Int'l Conf. on Image Processing and ACM Multimedia), we will not have class on the weeks of 10/25 and 11/3. This means that, including the course that was missed on 10/18, we'll need to make up for four lectures. Here is the schedule for the two make-up classes (2.5h each):
    1 - Friday, October 22, 11:00-13:30, 644 Mudd
    2 - Friday, November 12, 11:00-13:30, 644 Mudd
Also, the midterm will be held on November 10. The course syllabus has been updated to reflect these changes.

Change in Homework N6

Problem 4.9 is removed from Homework N6, as it requires a CAD simulation.

 

Make-up Class

The November 12 make-up class is rescheduled for December 10, 11:00-13:30 in 414 Pupin. 

Problem 6.22 moved to Homework 10

Problem 6.22 is moved to Homework 10 as we didn't have time to cover the required material (PLAs) in our last lecture.
