Capt. Nemo's gateway to galactic goings-on

The Complete Works of William ShakespeareLike all works of truth and beauty, this page will always be unfinished.

Welcome -- though my hospitality may make you believe otherwise, you're not the first person to drop by here. Want to see whence and when people have recently come to my pages? Check out the Captain's Log, or the Captain's Lograph.

First Elvis, now me...

Can you believe this?
The US postal service has issued a stamp in my honor.
I don't know what to say...
Thanks?
But that's not what I really look like...

    Virtual Ego Trip

    First, here are my
coordinates (how to reach me). You can read my life story, if you have nothing better to do. Also, you can have a look at my current resume. Oh, by the way, my name is
    Nemo Semret
(this is in the ethiopic script). My first name, Nemo, is a paradox!

I'm in New York City, doing a PhD in the Multimedia Networking Laboratory of the Center for Telecommunications Research at Columbia University. In the summer of '96, I was at Bell Labs (Lucent Technologies). In the summer of '97, I was at Bellcore's Internet Architecture Research Laboratory.

I come from Ethiopia, I and this is what I look like. Actually, what you'll most often see is this:

as I leave you in the dust...
