Online (H)Spice Tutorials
Columbia University - CISL - Online Hspice tutorial
Other (H)spice tutorials
There is a lot of information and tutorials for (H)Spice available
on the web. We have listed just a few links to tutorials.
Pspice simulation examples
- Pspice
Simulation Examples (pdf) from A.B. Carlson's Instructor's
Resource Guide to Accompany Circuits: Engineering Concepts and
Analysis of Linear Electric Circuits.
- Remark: the above examples are using PSPICE (see below)
syntax. The syntax for parameters is different from Hspice! Also in
PSPICE one needs to include a .probe command to generate
graphical output data files, whereas in Hspice one needs to use a
.option post
Other Spice Simulators
There is a whole set of spice-like circuit simulators
available. Their basic functionality is all very similar, although
there can be important differences in performance, functionality, and
syntax. Some are command line based and some have graphical
interfaces, and some have even an integrated schematic capture
functionality.
PSPICE
PSpice -- http://www.pspice.com --
is another commercial spice version and it also runs on PCs. You can
download a
student version. Remark that the Pspice syntax has some important
differences especially regarding parametrization of circuits.
Berkeley Spice 3 based
There are several ports to the PC platform of the Berkeley Spice 3
simulator available. These programs are typically free.
