- Editor of the ISO/IEC 14496-1 International Standard (MPEG-4 Systems),
“Generic Coding of Audio-Visual Objects”. The standard is developed
by the ISO/IEC JTC1/SC29/WG11 (MPEG) group, and has been approved as an
International Standard in January 1999. It is currently supported by several
leading media players, including Apple’s QuickTime (extensive native
support), Microsoft’s Media Player (video only), and RealNetworks’
RealPlayer (through plug-in).
