Directions to LabROSA

Dan Ellis's office is room 718 on the 7th floor of the Schapiro Research Building, also known as CEPSR. The LabROSA lab space is on the east side of the 7th floor CEPSR, lab 7LE4.

Here is a link to Schapiro CEPSR courtesy of Google Maps.

Here's one set of directions, to the DVMM lab which is the video side of the signal processing group:

However, it's easier to come through campus. Here is a second set of directions, from the Communications group (floor above):

This image shows the path suggested above drawn onto an image captured from Google Maps.

Here's a map from Computer Science's page of directions. CEPSR is at the top, the subway stop at 116th and Broadway is marked "IRT" (since of course we all remember when the number 1 line was operated by the Interborough Rapid Transit company):

There's also a more detailed map available here from the main Columbia web site. Schapiro CEPSR is under Sector "D" in that map.

Accommodation for visitors

Columbia provides this information on local accommodation. There are also a few rooms available at The Union Theological Seminary across the street, and the nearby International House offers short and longer-term accommodations for graduate students from overseas and from the US.
