Prof. Ellis Selected to Attend NAE "Frontiers of Engineering" Symposium

September 11, 2009

Prof. Dan Ellis has been selected to organize a session on "Engineering and Music", one of four topics to be covered at the National Academy of Engineering's 2010 "Frontiers of Engineering" symposium.  Prof. Ellis also attended this years Frontiers meeting, held at the Beckman Center in Irvine, CA, from September 9-12.

The Frontiers symposia bring together outstanding engineers aged 30-45 from industry, academia, and government to discuss pioneering technical work and leading-edge research in various engineering fields and industry sectors.  Frontiers of Engineering was initiated to provide an opportunity for top-notch engineers, early in their careers, to learn about cutting-edge developments in fields other than their own, thereby facilitating collaborative work and the transfer of new approaches and techniques across fields.
