Prof. Anastassiou's Group Develops a Best-Performing Algorithm

March 24, 2008

Prof. Anastassiou's research group develops best-performing gene regulatory reverse engineering algorithm. The technique, based on the information theoretic concept of synergy, exhibited the best performance amongst competing algorithms in a "challenge" for identifying gene interactions from blinded gene expression data.

For more information, see www.nyas.org/ebriefreps/main.asp?intSubSectionID=5913 The challenge submissions were part of the DREAM2 conference (Dialogue on Reverse Engineering Assessment and Methods.
