Signal and Information Processing
This area focuses on representation, processing, analysis, and communication of signals and information in various forms, including audio, image, video, biological data, and signals from other sensory sources. The research scope encompasses study of new paradigms and methodologies for signal modeling, coding/compression, content analysis/understanding, pattern detection/recognition, signal detection/estimation, and multimedia transport. Faculty and students are actively engaged in development of new theories, algorithms, tools, systems and emerging international standards. They also enjoy close collaboration with researchers and practitioners from other schools and many technology companies in the neighborhood.Labs
