Undergraduate Program

An overview of the Electrical Engineering major program, including course charts, can be found in the Electrical Engineering section of the bulletin.

The EE Web site contains additional information, including the Objectives page that has a list of program goals, a description of recent program upgrades, and requests for various kinds of feedback.

We have an EE Curriculum page with a compact summary of the course requirements for the electrical engineering major, including all the latest rules and recommendations for choosing technical electives.  Transfer and 3-2 program students should also check our Combined Plan section for information specific to them.

Our Capstone Lab page provides further information about the major design project at the end of the program, including its role within the curriculum.

We also have a General Notes for EE Majors page where various explanations and general recommendations are posted, including comments about computer programming courses.

Current Columbia University FFSEAS juniors who are majoring in Electrical Engineering and meet certain criteria, are encouraged to consider our new Integrated BS/MS program. (This should not be used by students who may be interested in the Ph.D. or M.S./Ph.D. programs.)  For more details, please see our Integrated BS/MS Program description and Integrated BS/MS application form.
