1. Ingo is CUIT's mail filtering system. It is a great tool for
sorting mail into different folders as the mail is delivered to your
inbox. To configure Ingo to sort your mail between an EE folder and a
CUIT folder based on the address the mail is addressed to, you must
start off by logging into http://ingo.cc.columbia.edu. Once logged in
you should see a list of rules similar to the ones below except without the EE and CUIT mail rules. Click 'New Rule'.
2.
In this case we are going to set up a rule that is addressed to your
CUIT address. Name the Rule something like 'CUIT Mail Rule' , check the
'Any of the following' radio button, select 'Destination
(To,CC,Bcc,etc)' from the first pull down menu, 'Contains' from the
second, and enter your cunix email address in the final text field.
Under 'Do this', select 'Deliver to folder:' in the first pull down
menu and then in the second pull down menu select 'Create Folder'. A
dialog box should pop up prompting you for a folder name. Call the
folder something like 'CUIT-Mail'. Once everything is filled out
the rule should similar to what is displayed below.

3. Now we have one rule that filters mail addressed to our cunix mail address into a folder called CUIT mail. To create an analgous rule that filters all mail addressed to our EE mail address into a folder called EE mail, repeat step 2 except replace the Rule Name with 'EE Mail Rule', the address field with your EE email address and the destination folder with 'EE Mail'. The result should be similar to what is displayed below. Click 'Save'. To return to the main menu.

4. If the rules were created successfully you should see two new rules at the end of your existing rules table on the main menu in ingo. You may test your rules by sending test mails to your EE and CUIT mailing addresses respectively. If everything is working, they should mail addressed to your EE mailing address should be delivered to your EE-mail folder and mail addressed to your CUIT account should be delivered to your CUIT-mail folder.
