The target application at this stage is Columbia University's Video on Demand (VOD) testbed. Our research focus covers innovative content-based visual query, multi-resolution (MR) video coding, efficient manipulation of compressed video, and optimal real-time video storage architectures. An important aim of our research is to enhance interoperability. Heterogeneous communication connections (ATM and Internet) have been installed.
