Ethan Katz-Bassett is joining Columbia University in 2017. He is currently Andrew and Erna Viterbi Early Career Chair at the University of Southern California. Prior to joining USC, he completed his PhD in 2012 at the University of Washington, advised by Tom Anderson and Arvind Krishnamurthy, and then worked at Google as part of a great team tasked with making the mobile web fast. He has earned awards including NSDI Best Paper Awards, an Applied Networking Research Award, an NSF CAREER Award, and Google Faculty Research Awards.
