EE Unveils New Lab Suite

March 12, 2015

The Department of Electrical Engineering recently marked the completion of the first phase of its newly renovated lab suite with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Located on the 12th floor of the Mudd Building, the new space is home to 42 workstations configured to run advanced computer-aided design tools used in many circuit design courses and simulations for the department’s undergraduate Signals & Systems Lab course. The room can be divided so that one class can hold an organized session while the other portion remains available for general use; parted by mostly glass so the room maintains an open feel. The second phase of construction will commence in the fall, and will encompass the development of a large prototyping and measurement lab suite, also on the 12th floor of Mudd.
