Dr. Ashutosh Dutta who received his M.Phil. and PhD in Electrical Engineering at Columbia University has been named an IEEE Fellow and has been recognized for leadership in mobility management and security monitoring in mobile networks. Dutta completed his PhD (while working at Telcordia) and was advised by Professor Henning Schulzrinne. "I am very thankful for all the training, teaching, and mentoring that I received during my time at Columbia," said Dutta.
Currently, Dutta is a Senior Wireless Research Scientist, JHU/APL Sabbatical Fellow at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Labs, and an adjunct faculty members at Jogns Hopkins University.

The IEEE Grade of Fellow is conferred by the IEEE Board of Directors upon a person with an outstanding record of accomplishments in any of the IEEE fields of interest. The total number selected in any one year cannot exceed one-tenth of one- percent of the total voting membership.
