Congratulations to EE Professors Yardley, Heinz, Osgood, Kymissis, and
Shepard for winning a 5-year 19.2 million dollar energy research center. The Department of Energy funded center, entitled "Re-Defining Photovoltaic Efficiency through Molecule-Scale Control", will pursue advanced scientific research on energy and make photovoltaic technology more efficient. The EFRC will capitalize on the synergy between theory, measurement, and materials that has distinguished the Columbia team in the development of fundamental understanding and control of charge transport in molecular and nanoscale systems.
