Prof. Chang Awarded 2012 IEEE SPS Technical Achievement Award

The IEEE has honored Prof. Shih-Fu Chang with the 2012 Signal Processing Society Technical Achievement Award for his "pioneering contributions to signal processing for multimedia content analysis and retrieval." The award honors a person who, over a period of years, has made outstanding technical contributions to theory and/or practice in technical areas within the scope of the Society, as demonstrated by publications, patents, or recognized impact on the field. The prize shall be $1500, a plaque and a certificate, and shall be presented at the Society's Awards Ceremonies, normally held during ICASSP in the Spring following selection of the winner.
