Profs. Chang and Ellis and students received Best Paper Nomination

Congratulations to Prof. Chang, Prof. Ellis, EE PhD students Wei Jiang
and Courtenay Cotton for having their paper selected as the best paper
from the Content Track at ACM Multimedia 2009, a prestigious conference
with a 18% acceptance rate. The work has been in collaboration with Dr.
Alex Loui of Kodak Research Lab. It addresses the challenges in
automatic categorization of unconstrained consumer videos into semantic
events and activities using a novel representation, called Audio-Visual
Atoms.
